Some need this and some don't. But kids and the elderly do for the most part. It acts as a barrier to specific oils that have a little heat to them and it makes the essential oils go farther. If you are not sure if you are sensitive to oils, put a little on your wrist and wait 20 minutes. If there is no reaction then you may be good. But if you are unsure, diluting is key.
Why on earth would I want to ingest essential oils internally with a vegetable capsule? I swore I would NEVER do this until I tried it. It's no different than a supplement.
